Our mission here at Ellis AutoworkZ is to be the one stop shop for all of your performance automotive needs. While specializing in Nissans and Toyotas we aim to provide quality parts and services at reasonable prices for all makes and models. As our business expands we aim to become the number one 2wd dyno shop in the Tampa Bay area, offering in house tuning as well as dyno rentals.
Who We Are:
Ellis AutoworkZ is currently staffed by Kyle Ellis and Bryant Tonkin. Both act as full service mechanics. Kyle and Bryant are both Nissan Z fans and each own heavily modified Z31s. Their passion for perfomance cars is what drives the business.
Kyle Ellis is the founder and owner of Ellis Autoworkz. Kyle has worked as a technician for Mercedes-Benz of Tampa and two local Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep dealers. Kyle has also worked for Lockheed-Martin, has a degree in drafting and design, and is ASE certified. A veteran of two gulf wars, Kyle spent four years as an Aircraft Mechanic on active duty and a Construction Mechanic in the reserves with the U.S. Navy Seabees.
a.k.a Stinky by the Z community, Bryant Tonkin is the lead technician and cofounder of Ellis AutoworkZ. With nearly five years of experience with the Z31 he has developed the skills to take on almost any repair or modification job possible on the Z31. Well known for pioneering stock Z31 ecu tuning, Stinky will be the main tuning force behind Ellis AutoworkZ.
